Ready to Live Empowered?

A Founder’s Reflection
Originally written in the early days of Empowered You Solutions and thoughtfully updated to reflect how this work has evolved—while preserving the message at its heart.
Imagine feeling more confident in your ability to understand what is right for you.
Not because you always have every answer. Not because life never becomes uncertain. But because you have learned how to listen to yourself, recognize the patterns shaping your choices, and respond with greater clarity, intention, and self-trust.
Imagine waking up with a stronger sense of direction—not necessarily knowing every step ahead, but understanding what matters now and feeling empowered to take the next aligned step.
That is the heart of empowered living.
Empowerment Begins Within
When I first created Empowered You Solutions, my goal was simple: help people recognize their inner power and develop a deeper understanding of who they are.
That desire grew from more than 30 years of personal and professional exploration in spirituality, human behavior, personal development, entrepreneurship, and the patterns that influence how we experience our lives.
I wanted to understand myself more fully. I wanted to understand humanity and how we fit within this vast universe. I wanted to know why some patterns kept repeating, why certain choices felt aligned while others did not, and why so many capable people struggled to trust what they already sensed within themselves.
Throughout that journey, two beliefs continued to surface:
Recognizable principles and patterns support meaningful change.
We are so much more than what we appear to be.
Those beliefs remain at the center of my work today.
You Possess an Inner Guidance System
We are emotional, energetic, thinking, feeling beings.
Our emotions, physical responses, recurring thoughts, relationships, experiences, and patterns all carry information. They can help us recognize when something deserves attention, when an old belief is shaping a present choice, or when we may be moving away from what feels true.
I came to think of this as our Emotional Guidance System—an internal source of information that can help us understand ourselves more clearly.
This doesn't mean every emotion is an instruction or that every impulse should be followed. Empowerment requires discernment. It asks us to become curious about what we feel, understand what may be beneath it, and determine how we want to respond.
The goal is not to react to every internal signal. The goal is to develop a healthier relationship with the information those signals provide.
You Are More Than Your Current Circumstances
Within each of us exists an inner wisdom—the capacity to observe, question, learn, choose, and reconnect with what matters.
Sometimes that wisdom feels clear. At other times, it may seem buried beneath stress, fear, expectations, responsibilities, past experiences, or an overwhelming amount of outside information.
You may recognize glimpses of the person you know yourself to be, yet struggle to access that person consistently. You may sense that something needs to change without knowing where to begin. You may understand a pattern intellectually while still finding yourself repeating it.
That does not mean your inner wisdom has abandoned you.
It may mean you need space, support, reflection, and a practical process for separating what is true for you from what you have learned to carry.
As Eric Butterworth wrote:
“Man is a bundle of possibilities, and his only business in life is the express business—the business of expressing his inner self.”
Empowered living is not about becoming someone entirely different. It is about developing the awareness and courage to express more of who you already are.
Empowerment Does Not Eliminate Struggle
Living empowered doesn't mean that life will always feel easy or that challenges will disappear.
It means that difficulty no longer has to define your identity.
Challenges can reveal patterns, needs, boundaries, strengths, and choices that might otherwise remain unseen. They can invite us to examine what is no longer working and decide what we want to carry forward.
Empowerment changes our relationship we have with our circumstances. Instead of asking only, “Why is this happening to me?” we can also begin asking:
What is this experience showing me?
What pattern is influencing my response?
What do I need to understand, change, accept, or release?
What would an aligned next step look like?
What support would help me move forward?
These questions do not minimize hardship. They return a measure of agency to the person experiencing it.
The Outside World Cannot Define Your Worth
We live in a culture that continually suggests something outside us will finally make us complete.
The next accomplishment. The right relationship. More recognition. More information. More certainty. More success.
External experiences can enrich our lives, but they cannot establish our inherent worth.
You are not a problem waiting to be fixed. You are a whole person learning to understand what has shaped you, what you truly value, and how you want to live from here.
There may be patterns to change, wounds to address, skills to develop, and choices to make—but none of those things diminish the value already within you.
Empowerment begins when you stop treating yourself as something to overcome and begin relating to yourself as someone worth understanding.
From an Early Vision to The ENCOMPASS Method™
What began as a desire to help people discover their inner power eventually evolved into The ENCOMPASS Method™—a practical six-stage framework for moving from awareness into aligned, sustainable change.
The process helps you:
Assess what is shaping your current experience
Decode the patterns beneath your responses
Align with what is true and meaningful for you
Install new choices and supportive practices
Integrate what you are learning into everyday life
Serve from a place of greater wholeness and self-trust
The language and structure have matured over time, but the central message remains the same:
You have more wisdom, possibility, and power within you than you may currently recognize.
You do not have to uncover it all at once.
Begin by pausing. Become curious about what you are feeling. Notice the patterns that keep appearing. Listen to your body.
Question the beliefs that tell you who you are supposed to be. Give yourself permission to discover what is true for you now.
Then take one honest, aligned step forward.
Life Is Meant to Be Lived Empowered
My hope for you is not a life without uncertainty, change, or challenge.
My hope is that you develop the awareness to understand yourself, the self-trust to honor what you discover, and the courage to create a life that reflects who you are becoming.
Your life does not need to look like anyone else’s version of fulfillment.
It needs to feel honest, meaningful, and aligned with you.
Life is meant to be lived empowered.
Ready to Take Your Next Step?
The ENCOMPASS Method™ offers a practical path to understand the patterns shaping your life, reconnect with your inner guidance, and create change that feels aligned, empowered, and sustainable.
